Book presentation with Daniele Capra, co-author and curator, Isabella Pers, artist and co-founder of RAVE Residence, Valentino Girardi, founder of the Vulcano communication agency.
On Tuesday 12 November, at 6.30 pm, at the Auditorium of the Gallerie delle Prigioni, Fondazione Imago Mundi presents the book ‘L’altro RAVE. East Village Artist Residency’, in the presence of the co-author and curator Daniele Capra, who will dialogue with Isabella Pers, artist and co-founder of RAVE Residency, Valentino Girardi, founder of the communication agency Vulcano. The meeting will be moderated by Mattia Solari, curator of Fondazione Imago Mundi.
The book recounts the extraordinary experience of the RAVE – East Village Artist Residency. Founded by the artists Isabella and Tiziana Pers, this project, unique in Europe, takes place in the Friulian countryside, where every year an artist is invited to live and work together with animals rescued from slaughter. The presentation aims to recount a different sensitivity in the relationship between human and non-human animals that the works of art realised during the residency are able to activate.
‘L’altro RAVE’, published by Quodilibet, traces the history of this project, from its foundation to the present day, through a conversation by Daniele Capra and Nico Covre with the founders, accompanied by numerous images of the activities carried out,
Admission is free with prior booking on Eventbrite.
