CROSSING BORDERS is an interview series that explores the visions of renowned international photographers on the theme of migration. Curated by Enrico Bossan, artistic director of Fondazione Imago Mundi and photographer, and Alessio Vigni, the foundation’s digital communication manager and freelance writer, this series aims to offer a profound and original perspective on some of the most pressing issues of our time: migration, poverty, social inequality, and conflict.
At the heart of the series lies the concept of the “border,” understood both as a physical barrier to be crossed and as a mental or cultural limit. Through these interviews, we will explore not only the experiences of migrants captured through the photographers’ lenses but also how these artists have confronted their own creative boundaries, challenging preconceptions and stereotypes.
Each episode of the series will showcase stories of humanity and courage, shedding light on journeys that have transformed suffering and injustice into powerful and universal visual testimonies.
From 19 September 2024, a new release every Thursday.
