A multidisciplinary artist, Jeuffroy is interested in Epicurean philosophy: seeking modest pleasures to attain tranquillity, freedom from fear, and absence from bodily pain. Her work reveals the hidden qualities of everyday objects by researching phenomena of fragility, transition and affinity. She reinterpets their original function in order to underscore the absurdities of life. The artist created Hope, in collaboration with Undead Instruments, as an ode to timelessness. The work narrates a reverse story, where time is suspended and its flow has gone berserk. The word “hope” finally crosses the screen and frees us from an anticipated end.
