Nyandja Arts Collective

Nyandja Arts is an art space located in Nakivale Refugee Settlement. Established in 2015 with the aim of giving the refugee artists the opportunity to express themselves, showcase their talents and work together, the art space offers a wide range of cultural and creative programs and activities.
The collective mode of working and living allows the artists to learn from each other, share their experiences, and create a sense of community within the camp. In this way, Nyandja Arts serves as a space for not only artistic expression, but also social and cultural exchange.
